Bend Golf & Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Bend, Oregon.
Bend Golf & Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1925. The par-72 course was designed by William Hanley and H. Chandler Egan.
Well groomed fairways bordered by majestic Ponderosas are only a small part of the golfing experience at Bend Golf and Country Club. The oldest private club in Central Oregon, Bend has several advantages that create a classic golf environment. - Walkable traditional layout with reasonable green-to-tee distances - Neatly manicured fairways, approaches and primary rough. - Mature and consistent greens rated among the best in the state. Practice facilities; two chipping/putting greens, driving range, three greenside bunkers, 275-yard practice hole, and a 75-yard "approach" area, all groomed to course standards.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7,026 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,434 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 579 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 145 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 567 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 145 yard par-3.
Hole #3 is the signature hole. It is a beautiful par 3 over water that requires good club selection and distance control because of the three-tiered green. The distance from the tee measures from 100 to 177 yards depending on the tee box. Leave the ball too far above the cup and get ready for a treacherous downhill putt. Making par is more difficult than it might appear.

This is a traditional type no resort course. Member Only, however your pro could get you a tee time. Worth the expense to play. Good golf for a low handicap golfer
